STS develops Clip for Slipper Sock
The STS Company announces the development of a Slipper Clip that is used to cinch up the plantar arch area and to produce superior contour when using the STS Slipper Sock. The new clip is designed to replace the Velcro strips that STS had been providing with each box of slipper socks. One area of concern when using the Slipper socks had been the difficulty some practitioners have had in using the Velcro strips. The new Slipper Clip has been designed for ease of application while producing improved conformity at both the plantar arch and heel regions. There will be no additional fee for the Slipper Clip as they will be included in every box of casting socks that are purchased. The company hopes that with correct application of the slipper clip the negative impressions achieved will be far superior to those obtained with either foam boxes or plaster splints when providing orthotic therapy. STS has begun sending the slipper clips at no charge to all of their existing slipper sock customers.
